Join us in this fun and fascinating half-day rope-sewing workshop. Learn about the different types of rope and cord available, and then using a domestic sewing machine and a length of piping cord, you’ll be shown how to make a circular mat. Having made a plain mat, you’ll be shown how to add colour to a second mat using scraps of fabric, creating a confetti effect.

Once you’ve mastered the basic techniques you can go on and make dinner mats, bowls or a number of other items using different thickness of cord and types of embellishment.

Sewing machines and all materials will be provided.

Tickets for this afternoon workshop are £20.
